Ingredients (what you need)

800 g of beef sirloin (high sirloin)
4 teaspoons of full-fat mustard
50 g of bacon
2 sausages
2 eggs
1 large pickled cucumber
2 large onions
100 ml of oil
salt
ground pepper
1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour for thickening the sauce (as needed)

Recipe steps

Preheat the oven to 200 °C.

Cut the meat into slices against the grain, gently pound them, season with salt and pepper, and spread with mustard.

Cut the pickles, eggs, sausages, bacon, and onion into quarters and place them on the slices of meat.

Carefully wrap them up and, if necessary, secure with a toothpick or metal pin. You can also add salt and pepper to the surface.

Place the chopped second onion in a baking dish, drizzle with oil, and tightly arrange the rolls on top.

Put it in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Then, reduce the temperature and bake at 150 °C for about 45 minutes, until the meat is tender.

While baking, regularly baste the meat with the juices, or if necessary, add hot water.

Once the rolls are done, remove them from the grilled juices.

Bring the juices to a boil and reduce until they achieve a golden-brown color. If needed, thicken with about one tablespoon of flour mixed in water. Let it simmer for about 20 minutes and finally season with salt, pepper, and a teaspoon of mustard.

Return the rolls to the juices and heat up.

Serve with rice.
