Pork tenderloin with herb cream and mushroom sauce
Preparation time: 20 minutes
Cooking time: 25 minutes
Servings: 4

Pork tenderloin is the juiciest part of pork meat. When we marinate it in onion and garlic and coat it with dried herbs, it creates an excellent combination.

Ingredients (what you need)

For the tenderloin
1 pork tenderloin
1 onion
2 cloves of garlic
2 tablespoons of full-fat mustard
dried basil
dried oregano (fresh can be used)
salt
ground pepper
oil

For the sauce
2 cups of whipping cream (400 ml)
200 g of mushrooms (or 1 can)
1 small onion
1-2 cloves of garlic
salt
ground pepper
crushed caraway seeds
2 tablespoons of butter

Recipe steps

We peel the garlic cloves and slice them thinly. Both onions are peeled, one is sliced and the other is chopped finely. We clean the mushrooms and also slice them.

We remove the membranes from the pork tenderloin and cut it into wider diagonal slices. Each slice is scored on the side and gently pounded with fingers.

We season with salt and pepper on both sides, lightly spread with mustard, and sprinkle with basil and oregano.

In a bowl, we pour a little oil, add the half onion sliced into rings and the sliced garlic. On top, we place the meat, drizzle with oil, and add the remaining onion and garlic. We let it marinate for two hours.

In heated oil, we fry on both sides for 5 minutes. We add the onion to the meat, which we serve together with the meat at the end.

In butter, we sauté finely chopped onion and garlic slices.

Once they turn translucent, we add the mushrooms, quickly fry them, and then pour in the cream.

We add salt, pepper, and crushed caraway seeds. We briefly simmer them (5-10 minutes) until the mushrooms soften and release their aroma into the sauce.

The finished pork tenderloin is served with the cream sauce, and it pairs well with, for example, roasted potatoes.
