Ingredients (what you need)

800 g lean pork belly
2 large onions
salt to taste
whole caraway seeds to taste
pepper to taste
water as needed
2 green bell peppers
a pinch of smoked paprika
1 package of white fermented cabbage
2 apples
a pinch of turmeric

Recipe steps

At the bottom of the baking dish, we place chopped pork belly. We season it with pepper, sprinkle with caraway seeds, and salt it sufficiently. We add a bit of smoked paprika and chopped washed green peppers. We add some water, cover it with a second baking dish, and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees.

During baking, we occasionally turn the meat. At the end of the baking process, we remove the second baking dish. Then we add two chopped onions to the meat, which will give it an excellent flavor, and continue baking until golden. We put the sauerkraut in a deeper bowl, mix in caraway seeds, turmeric, and chopped apples. We steam it until soft.

We serve it with dumplings.
