Ingredients (what you need)
2.5 kg of apples
600 g of sugar
1 vanilla sugar
50 ml of vinegar
Recipe steps
Wash the apples thoroughly, peel them, remove the cores, and grate them on a coarse grater.
Place them in a pot and add sugar, vanilla sugar, and vinegar. Mix everything well and let it sit for 24 hours, stirring occasionally.
The next day, cook the apples and stir them regularly to prevent burning. Cook until the mixture thickens. In the end, you can blend the preserves with an immersion blender, but it is not necessary.
Pour the hot preserves into clean jars, wipe the rims, and seal them tightly with clean lids. Canning is no longer necessary.
