Homemade peach jam

Peach jam is certainly one of the most popular types of jams. It has a mildly sour taste, is spicy due to the rum, and smells of cinnamon. If you also decide to peel...
Ingredients (what you need)
1 kg peaches
500 g granulated sugar
6 tablespoons rum
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 gelling agent 2 1
Recipe steps
If we want the jam to be free of peels, it is good to peel the peaches first. The best way to do this is to blanch the fruit in boiling water for two minutes, then immediately cool them in cold water and peel them easily afterwards.
Remove the stones from the fruit, cut it into smaller pieces, and lightly blend it with an immersion blender so that there are still some chunks. Add cinnamon and sugar, which we have mixed with gelling agent.
We mix and cook for another 10 minutes, depending on the firmness of the fruit, until the jam reaches the desired consistency. Finally, we add lemon juice and rum.
We responsibly pour it into thoroughly washed jars that we previously rinsed with boiling water, making sure not to touch the edges. Then we seal the jars, optionally turn them upside down, and let them cool down.
