Homemade ketchup

Many children and adults cannot do without ketchup. And if you have so many tomatoes at home that you don't know what to do with them, try making your own...
Ingredients (what you need)
2 kg of tomatoes
250 g of unpeeled apples
250 g of onions
1 tablespoon of salt
125 ml of vinegar
1 tablespoon of sweet paprika
1/2 tablespoon of hot paprika (or 1 chili pepper)
5 cloves
5 allspice berries
5 whole peppercorns
150 g of sugar
Recipe steps
Rinsed tomatoes, apples, and onion are cut into rings and cooked with vinegar, salt, paprika, cloves, allspice, and pepper.
We prepare the dish for one and a half hours.
Then we add sugar and cook uncovered for another 15 minutes (or longer) to achieve a thicker consistency of the ketchup.
After cooking, everything is blended, strained, and poured into jars, the edges are wiped, and they are sealed tightly with lids.
If we rarely use ketchup at home, we should preserve it for greater shelf life and to prevent spoilage.
