Ingredients (what you need)

1 kg of currants
1 kg of summer fruit
750 g of sugar
2 teaspoons of cinnamon
4 star anise
5 cloves
2 lemons, preferably organic
200 ml of rum (optional)

Recipe steps

Cut larger pieces of fruit into small cubes, including the peeled lemon, and place them in a baking dish. Add the berries and sprinkle with sugar. Finally, add the spices and mix everything thoroughly.

Bake in a preheated oven at a temperature of 180-200 °C for about 30 minutes. During baking, it's good to stir the mixture approximately twice.

After baking, immediately add the rum and mix quickly.

Pour into clean jars, wipe the edges, seal, and turn upside down, similar to jam.
