Ingredients (what you need)
2 kg pears
2 l water
500 g granulated sugar
cloves
whole cinnamon stick
1 slice of lemon
a little vinegar in cold water
Recipe steps
We thoroughly wash the pears, peel them, cut them in half, and remove the cores.
In boiling water, we briefly dip the pears, then cool them in cold water and let them drain. To prevent the pears from losing their color, we add a little vinegar to the cold water.
We place the fruit into jars.
In a large pot, we boil 2 liters of water with sugar, spices, and a slice of lemon for about 5 minutes, then let the syrup cool slightly.
We pour the syrup over the fruit in the jars so that it is completely submerged, while leaving approximately 1 cm of free space from the top of the jar.
We thoroughly dry the jars, cover them with lids, and sterilize for about 25 minutes at 85 °C.
We allow them to cool slightly in the pot, then remove them, turn them upside down, and let them cool completely.
