Ingredients (what you need)

1.5 liters of smoked meat broth
200 g root vegetables (carrot, celery, parsley)
1 handful of larger grains
4 potatoes
ground pepper
salt
garlic
marjoram

Recipe steps

The day before, soak the barley or at least soak it for 30 minutes before cooking. Then boil it in water for about 25 minutes. After cooking, rinse it and set aside.

Clean the root vegetables and cut them into sticks, or we can use frozen vegetable mix for the sauce. Wash the potatoes and cut them into cubes.

In the smoked meat prepared in the broth, cook the cut vegetables in sticks, add the diced potatoes and cook until done.

Add the cooked barley, warm it up, season with pepper, and salt if necessary. Finally, flavor it with garlic and marjoram.
