Ingredients (what you need)
Balls
400 g ground pork
1 egg
1 onion
oil
herbs (chives, parsley, lovage)
2-3 tablespoons breadcrumbs
50 ml cold milk
salt
ground pepper
Additionally
1 cup rice (jasmine or other)
2 cups water
1 onion
1 larger bell pepper (preferably red)
1 handful of frozen peas
oil
4 allspice berries
1 pinch of curry
salt
grated cheese
Recipe steps
Finely chopped onion is mixed with oil and rinsed rice. We add spices, salt, chopped bell pepper, and water. Then we place everything in a preheated oven.
We mix the meat with finely chopped onion, chopped herbs, and other ingredients. With wet hands, we create balls.
We heat the oil and fry the balls quickly on all sides. Just for a moment, to sear them and keep them juicy.
When the rice is almost soft, we add peas and incorporate the balls into it. Then we brush them with the drippings (we can mix some into the rice) and sprinkle with cheese.
We put it in the oven for about 10 minutes to bake. Serve immediately with a vegetable salad.
