1 celery root
about 200 ml milk
a handful of breadcrumbs for thickening
1 egg
cornstarch
pepper
salt
for breading
flour
egg
breadcrumbs
oil for frying
Recipe steps
We wash the celery, cut it into quarters, and briefly boil it in salted water, but we must not cook it until soft!
We thoroughly mix the ground meat with the egg and spices, then add the grated, partially cooked celery, and using milk and breadcrumbs, we form a thick mixture.
We add a tablespoon of starch flour.
From the prepared mixture, we shape small balls, which we gradually coat in flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs, and then fry them until golden brown. We serve them with potatoes, mash, or salad.
