Ingredients (what you need)

Balls
500 g ground meat (1 1 beef and pork)
salt
white pepper
150 g potatoes (about 2 pieces) cooked
75 g breadcrumbs
200 ml milk or cream
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
5 tablespoons melted butter
1 egg
1 pinch of allspice
oil

Sauce
250 ml beef broth (or bouillon)
100 ml cream
salt
pepper
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1-2 tablespoons all-purpose flour for thickening

Recipe steps

First, soak the breadcrumbs in milk or cream and let them absorb. In the meantime, add the beaten egg and other ingredients to the minced meat and mix thoroughly. Finally, stir in the soaked breadcrumbs as well.

Using our wet hands, shape the mixture into balls the size of ping-pong balls. Fry them in oil in a pan until golden brown, and then remove them to a paper towel to drain.

Season the hot broth with the listed seasoning ingredients. Add the cream mixed with a tablespoon of flour to the mixture, and simmer the sauce for at least 15 minutes. Finally, add the fried balls to the sauce and let them simmer briefly to heat through.

Serve with boiled potatoes and cranberries.
