Ingredients (what you need)

400 g of all-purpose flour
1 tbsp of vanilla pudding powder
0.5 l of milk
100 g of butter
a pinch of salt
1 whole egg

Recipe steps

In a pot, heat the milk, butter, and salt until boiling. Then add the flour and stir until a thick dough forms. Thoroughly roast it and let it cool down.

To the cooled mixture, add the eggs using an electric mixer. Then transfer the dough to a silicone mat and knead it thoroughly by hand. Working with the dough is great, it doesn't stick, and has a soft and elastic consistency.

From the finished dough, use a spoon to pick out pieces, shape them a bit in your hands, flatten them, and cover the strawberry well. It is important that there are no holes or cracks left on the dumpling that could allow water to enter. Finally, gently shape the dumpling in your hands, as if making a snowball.

Place the dumplings in boiling water, stir them to prevent sticking to the bottom. Cook for 5-7 minutes depending on size. When they float to the surface, cook them for about one more minute.

I like to serve the dumplings with thick whipped cream mixed with a tablespoon of icing sugar, into which I stir sour cream at the end. I also add grated cheese and melted butter. And breadcrumbs sautéed in butter are also a great treat.
