Here is the recipe for fruit yeast dumplings this time with strawberries.

Ingredients (what you need)

500 g semicoarse wheat flour + for dusting the work surface
20 g yeast
1 tsp granulated sugar
250 ml lukewarm milk
1 egg
1 pinch salt
300 g strawberries, hulled, washed, dried
250 g hard grated curd
100 g powdered sugar
150 g melted butter

Recipe steps

First, prepare the dough. In a large bowl, sift the flour and crumble the yeast in the center, add the sugar, and pour in half of the lukewarm milk. Once the starter has risen (about 10 minutes), add the remaining milk, egg, and salt, and knead the dough. It should rise in a warm, dark place for about an hour.

Bring a larger pot of water to a boil and add a little salt. Roll out the dough to a thickness of one centimeter, cut it into squares of 8×8 centimeters, and wrap each one around a strawberry, sealing it tightly and shaping it into a dumpling.

Cook the dumplings for about 8 minutes, until they float to the surface. After removing them from the pot, puncture them to allow the steam to escape and keep them fluffy.

In a smaller saucepan, melt the butter. Sprinkle the dumplings on the plate with grated quark and pour the melted butter over them.
