Ingredients (what you need)

150 g poppy seeds
450 ml milk
90 g granulated sugar
90 g semolina
50 g butter
1 egg
1 vanilla sugar
1 pinch of ground cloves
cinnamon
a bit of grated lemon zest
1 tablespoon of spicy jam (optional)

Recipe steps

Pour warm milk over poppy seeds and semolina and bring to a boil while stirring continuously.

Then remove from the heat and mix in all the other ingredients.

Let it cool.

Use it for baked goods or for cakes.
