Ingredients (what you need)
250 ml of milk
20 g of butter
80 g of granulated sugar
80 g of candied orange peel (or other candied fruit)
80 g of almonds
10 g of plain flour
1 vanilla sugar
chocolate icing (as needed)
Recipe steps
First, we soak the blanched almonds in hot water, peel them, and chop them into larger pieces.
In a pot, we mix milk, butter, sugar, and flour, then we bring the mixture to a boil. We cook for one minute and then remove from heat.
Then we add the almonds and diced candied fruit. We stir and let it cool.
We grease a baking sheet and sprinkle it with flour, or line it with baking paper.
Using a teaspoon, we form small mounds and place them with sufficient spacing on the prepared baking sheet. They will slightly flatten while baking.
We bake in a moderately heated oven at 150 °C for 15 minutes, until the edges begin to turn pink.
We let the Moroccan cookies cool and then we coat their bottom with chocolate icing.
