Favorite Linzer Dough

Surely everyone remembers the scent of linzer cookies that fills the whole apartment. A celebration where grandma baked a dessert. Linzer dough accompanies us from childhood to adulthood.
Ingredients (what you need)
120 g powdered sugar
2 pcs egg yolk
1 pcs vanilla sugar
350 g all-purpose flour
for aroma and seasoning lemon zest
250 g butter (or vegetable fat)
Recipe steps
We'll prepare the necessary ingredients and we can start.
I prefer to prepare a silicone mat and prepare the dough on it.
I pour out some all-purpose flour and add lemon zest.
On top of that, I sprinkle powdered sugar and vanilla sugar. I place softened butter in it and pour in the egg yolk. Some people use margarine instead of butter, but I am a proponent of butter. The dough is so fragrant because of it.
We wash our hands and thoroughly knead the dough with our hands.
On a floured surface, I roll out the dough using a rolling pin.
And now it's just up to us what we make from it.
If we want a dark shortcrust pastry, we add cocoa powder to it.
We bake it and can assemble it with jam, chocolate cream, or buttercream, etc.
