Chili con carne

We cross-cut the tomatoes, scald them, and peel them. With canned tomatoes, of course, we skip this step. We finely chop the onion.
Ingredients (what you need)
1 kg of ground beef
4 large tomatoes or a can of crushed tomatoes
1 large onion
150 g of semi-soft cooked red beans
chili peppers (amount to taste, but at least two)
1 tsp of ground coriander
1/2 tsp of ground cumin
(if you can find Mexican Fajitas spice, it works great in this)
a pinch of cinnamon
2-3 rectangles of good quality dark chocolate or a flat tsp of cocoa
oil
salt
(sometimes I also add canned corn kernels to the beans, we like it that way, but they are probably not in the original recipe)
Recipe steps
Cross-score the tomatoes, place them in hot water, and peel them. If using canned tomatoes, this step is not necessary. Chop the onion into small pieces.
In a deep pan, first sauté the onion and add the chopped chili peppers at the end. Then add the meat and continuously separate it while frying to prevent large chunks from forming. Season with salt, spice it up, and simmer for about 15 minutes on low heat in its own juice.
Then stir in the tomatoes and cook them for another thirty minutes, occasionally adding water.
Add the beans and let them cook for another 15 minutes.
Season the mixture, add chocolate or cocoa, and optionally incorporate a chili pepper. When serving, sprinkle with coriander.
