Ingredients (what you need)

4 kohlrabi
1 onion
50 g bacon
300 g ground meat
1 clove of garlic
salt
ground pepper
ground caraway seeds
1 teaspoon of Provençal herbs
100 ml cream
100 g hard cheese

Recipe steps

Peel the kohlrabi and trim the bottom so they stand firm. Then scoop out the center, preferably using the tip of a potato peeler. Cut half of the scooped-out flesh into small pieces; the rest can be eaten.

In a pan, sauté the chopped onion and bacon, then add the ground meat and crushed garlic. Season with salt, pepper, cumin, and Provençal herbs, and sauté everything. Next, add the chopped kohlrabi, stir, and simmer for ten minutes.

Transfer the mixture to a bowl, add the cream, and mix in two-thirds of the grated cheese. Fill the kohlrabi with this mixture and top with the remaining cheese.

Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 35 minutes at 180 °C.
