Ingredients (what you need)
Dough
500 g all-purpose flour
450 g cottage cheese
150 g powdered sugar
250 g Hery
1 pinch of salt
Filling
1 kg apples
cinnamon
raisins
breadcrumbs
sugar (to taste)
For brushing
1 egg yolk
Recipe steps
In a bowl, we pour in flour, sugar, and salt, and mix well. Then we add the cottage cheese and Heru, knead the dough, and let it rest in the refrigerator.
Meanwhile, we wash the apples, remove the core, and cut them into pieces.
We divide the dough into several pieces, roll each one out, and then sprinkle it with breadcrumbs, chopped apples, cinnamon, and raisins. If the apples are sourer, we can sweeten them to taste.
We wrap the strudels, transfer them to a baking tray washed with cold water, and brush them with beaten egg yolk. We poke them in several places with a skewer.
When baking, we use an oven preheated to 180 °C and bake for approximately 30 minutes. This time is only indicative.
