Spinach pocket

First, I will let the package of spinach thaw and then drain the excess water from it. Next, I will add all the other ingredients to the bowl and prepare the dough. It should…
Ingredients (what you need)
1 frozen spinach puree
1 egg
6 medium cloves of garlic
1 larger onion
about 2 tablespoons of milk
5 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
1 large potato, grated coarsely
salt
pepper
oregano
bread crumbs as needed for thickening
hard cheese
ketchup
Recipe steps
First, I will let the package of spinach thaw and drain off the excess water. Then I will add the rest of the ingredients to the bowl and mix the batter, which should have a consistency similar to potato pancake batter. If the batter is too thick, I will thin it out a little with milk. I fry the pancakes on both sides; this amount will yield 4 to 5 large pieces. Once one side of the pancake is golden brown, I will flip it, sprinkle the cooked side with grated cheese, and drizzle with ketchup. I will also fry the other side and after removing them, I will fold them in half.
If we are not eating vegetarian and want a richer and more expensive lunch, we can fill the spinach pocket with various meat mixtures; it also tastes great with chicken liver. We serve boiled potatoes as a side dish.
