Ingredients (what you need)
puff pastry
4 larger apples (firm and ripe)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon dark brown sugar
For the cream
200 ml sour cream
2 eggs
2 tablespoons maple syrup (can be omitted)
1 tablespoon dark brown sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Recipe steps
Mix all the ingredients for the cream and add one finely chopped apple (remove the core, leave the skin on).
Roll out the dough thinly and transfer it to a 21 cm diameter tart pan. Poke the surface several times with a fork. Smooth the edges and, if desired, decorate them. I used cookie cutters to create small diamonds, which I brushed with egg and evenly arranged around the edge of the tart.
Pour the prepared vanilla cream onto the dough.
From the washed and dried apples, use a peeler to create strips of any length. We twist these strips into the shape of a rose and cover the entire surface of the tart with them. We can twist several strips at once according to our own imagination. We do not peel the apples, as the skin adds color to the tart.
Finally, carefully sprinkle the tart with cinnamon and sugar and bake at 180 degrees (with top and bottom heat) for about 40 to 50 minutes.
