Ingredients (what you need)

Dough
380 g all-purpose flour
160 g butter
315 ml water
400 g sugar
40 g cocoa
1 heaping teaspoon of baking soda
3 eggs (or 2 large)
160 ml kefir (or buttermilk)
1 vanilla sugar
Cream
750 ml whipping cream
700 g dark chocolate
For spreading
jam (optional)
chopped nuts

Recipe steps

In a water bath, heat the cream until it boils. Then add the broken chocolate and remove from heat.

Thoroughly mix everything smoothly and let it cool in the refrigerator for at least a few hours. The cream will gradually change in both texture and taste. Before using, whisk it for a while.

Pour water into a smaller pot, add cocoa and butter. Mix everything well, let the butter melt, thus obtaining a cocoa mixture.

In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, vanilla sugar, and baking soda, and mix thoroughly. Then pour in the heated cocoa mixture and mix everything again using a whisk. Then add buttermilk and eggs and mix again.

From this amount, we prepare two cake layers. Divide the mixture into two halves and place them in a baking pan lined with baking paper. Bake each layer separately in a preheated oven at 180°C for 25-30 minutes.

Once the layer has cooled, flip it so that the bottom side is on top. Then spread it with jam and apply the chocolate cream, which we should not be afraid to use.

Place the second layer upside down and again spread with jam and cream. Cover the entire cake with cream, including the sides. We can sprinkle it with chopped nuts and decorate to our own taste.
