Ingredients (what you need)
25 dkg beef
5 pcs allspice
25 dkg pork
15 dkg chicken
2 pcs bay leaves
1 pcs beetroot
2 pcs onion
2 pcs carrot
10 pcs whole pepper
5 pcs clove
2 pcs soup bones
1 can tomato paste
2 pcs spicier sausage
For decoration sour cream
parsley
dill
Recipe steps
In a pot, we place the soup bones and all the prepared meat. We add allspice, whole pepper, bay leaf, and cloves. We cover everything with water. We simmer until the meat is tender.
Meanwhile, we wash the beets and put them to boil. Again, until they are tender.
In a pot, we heat butter and sauté diced onion until golden. We then add grated carrot and after a while of frying, we pour in the prepared broth from the meat and bones. Next, we add diced potatoes and shredded cabbage. After about 15 minutes of cooking, we add peeled, grated beets, tomato paste, crushed garlic, sliced sausage, and all the cooked meat. We discard the bones.
We adjust the salt and sweetness to taste.
We let it simmer for another 3 minutes.
Classic borscht is served with sour cream and finely chopped parsley and dill.
