275 g of rolled puff pastry (1 package)
1 small egg
125 g of cream cheese in a tub
70 g of butter at room temperature
1 tablespoon of no-cook pudding
4 tablespoons of melted chocolate
12 teaspoons of jam (to taste)
rum (to taste)
vanilla (to taste)
Recipe steps
Preheat the oven to 200 °C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Roll out the dough, fold it vertically in half, press it slightly, and cut out circles with a diameter of 5.5-6 cm.
Place the circles on the baking sheet and brush them with beaten egg.
Preheat the oven and bake them for 8-10 minutes until golden. After baking, let them cool completely and then carefully cut them where the individual layers of the dough meet. Transfer all the pieces to the work surface.
Meanwhile, melt the chocolate with a piece of butter.
In a mixing bowl, combine the cottage cheese, butter, and instant pudding, and whisk everything thoroughly using a hand mixer. You can add flavor to taste, such as rum or vanilla, and transfer a portion of the cream intended for final decoration (about 4 heaping tablespoons) into a piping bag with the tip cut off.
Spread chocolate on the smooth side of the bottom halves of the circles and let it set. Mix the rest of the chocolate into the white cream. On the upside-down tops of the baked circles, place a teaspoon of jam of your choice in the center (it can be cherry, currant, strawberry, etc.). Pipe the cream around the jam using a piping bag with a smooth tip.
Gently press the chocolate-covered parts onto the prepared pieces and decorate with white cream. Add decorations to taste and according to your own creativity, such as chocolate, mint leaves, or fruit.
