Ingredients (what you need)

8 thin slices of bacon
300 g minced pork
1 egg
1 onion
3 cloves of garlic
50 ml cold milk
mustard
salt
pepper
marjoram
a pinch of chilli
bread crumbs for thickening
a bit of lard for the baking dish

a smaller head of cabbage
60 g English bacon
a piece of lard
4 cloves of garlic
plain flour
salt
freshly ground pepper

Recipe steps

We pound the meat, season it with salt, and brush it with mustard.

We mix the ground meat with all the ingredients and knead well to create a uniform mixture.

We place a piece of meat on each slice and roll it up.

We place them in a baking dish seam side down, tightly next to each other. We add a piece of lard and mix a bit of water for steaming with a tablespoon of mustard.

We pour it in and bake for about 30 to 40 minutes.

We cut the cabbage into thin strips, pour water over it, and stew it, but not completely soft, so it remains a bit crunchy.

We render the bacon with lard, then stir in flour to make a roux.

We season the cabbage with salt, add fresh pepper and garlic. We serve boiled potatoes as a side dish.
