Pork pieces in sweet and sour sauce

Recipe steps
Thoroughly wash the pork and cut it into smaller pieces or strips. We then mix these pieces with flour, starch, or cornflour, add an egg and a pinch of salt. We let the mixture rest for about an hour while we prepare the sauce and cook the rice.
We cook the rice in salted boiling water for about 15 minutes according to the instructions on the package. It is most convenient to prepare rice in boiling bags, but we can also choose another, higher-quality type of rice.
We prepare the sauce. We peel the onion and garlic, chop the onion into small pieces, and slice the garlic thinly. We sauté both ingredients almost until golden in hot oil. Then we pour in the meat broth and add sugar, vinegar, ginger, glutamate, and soy sauce.
We mix the starch with about 2 tablespoons of cold water and then, while constantly stirring, pour it into the sauce. We bring the sauce to a boil, keep stirring, and cook for 5 minutes until the sweet and sour sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
In a pan, we heat the oil and sauté the marinated pieces of pork at high temperature. The meat is coated in batter, so while frying, we separate the individual pieces with a spoon so they do not stick together and cook evenly. We fry them until they are pink.
We place the cooked rice on plates, sprinkle it with the fried pork, and drizzle with sweet and sour sauce. We can also add chopped green onions for garnish.
