½ teaspoon granulated sugar
500 g wheat semi-coarse flour
5 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
Recipe steps
First, let the starter rise. Mix the crumbled yeast with a little lukewarm water and sugar.
In a larger bowl, mix the starter, flour, salt, and oil. Gradually add lukewarm water (300 ml) to create a smooth and cohesive pizza dough.
On a floured surface, start kneading the pizza dough thoroughly. It will become elastic and non-sticky.
Shape it into a ball, dust it with flour, cover it with a kitchen towel, and let it rise for 1–2 hours. It will likely double in size.
Then evenly divide the pizza dough into portions and roll each one out into a flat round, adding whatever toppings you like on your pizza, and immediately place it in the preheated oven.
