Mushroom potato soup

We will dry-fry several slices of bacon (according to the servings being prepared), which we will set aside until the soup is ready. We can pour the drippings from the bacon into it.
Ingredients (what you need)
1200 ml water
150 g dried mushrooms
2 tablespoons marjoram
1 cube vegetable broth
70 g lard
1 piece large carrot
1 piece smaller celery
1 piece onion
1 tablespoon crushed cumin
5 cloves garlic
4 pieces large potatoes
for garnish 4 sprigs curly parsley
4 slices bacon
to taste salt
dough 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
300 ml water
Recipe steps
We will prepare and clean the vegetables. We will finely chop both the onion and garlic, celery, and carrot into small cubes, and the potatoes into larger pieces.
In a pot, we will heat lard and sauté the celery and carrot in it, then add the onion, caraway seeds, and sauté again. Then we will pour in boiling water, add a broth cube, and let it cook. After about 15 minutes, we will add the mushrooms and potatoes and cook until they are soft.
In a little water, we will mix the flour and, while stirring continuously, slowly pour it into the boiling soup.
We will add marjoram, garlic, and salt. We will let it simmer for another 10 minutes.
We will garnish the finished potato soup with the prepared bacon, and optionally, some parsley.
