Pea puree

In the water, we rinse the halved yellow peas, which do not need to be soaked beforehand. The rinsed peas are placed in 2 liters of water so that they are submerged and boiled for about an hour. A quarter of an hour before the end of cooking, we then salt the peas.
Ingredients (what you need)
2 l water
sauce 500 g split yellow peas
1 tsp salt
to taste 1 pc onion
salt
100 ml sweet cream
ground black pepper
side dish sausage or frankfurters
pickles
bread
Recipe steps
Peel and sauté the onion in oil. Blend the drained peas and set aside the water. The blended peas will form a thick puree, for which we use the drained water to thin it as needed.
Finally, add the sautéed onion, cream, salt, and pepper to the puree.
Serve the pea puree with bread and cucumber. You can also add fried sausage or boiled sausage.
