In winter, the human body needs something aromatic and warm for the stomach. A suitable alternative can also be sauces. Such a fragrant dill sauce is just the right thing.
Ingredients (what you need)
0.5 l broth, e.g. beef
2 pcs pack of dill - fresh (pickled dill in brine can also be used)
0.5 l milk - whole 3.5%
a pinch of ground pepper - preferably white
a pinch of salt
a bit of sugar
3 tablespoons of butter
1 pcs whipping cream (200g)
a little vinegar for seasoning
1 whole egg
For thickening, smooth flour approximately 5 tablespoons
Recipe steps
We all probably have dill in our gardens. And if not, the store has both fresh and pickled dill.
Let’s get started. First, we will make a broth, for example, beef. We will add finely chopped fresh dill to it. If we don’t have fresh dill, we will use dill from the brine. We will drain it, take the dill out, chop it, and add it to the broth. We will set aside a piece of dill for later. We will add a little sugar and a bit of vinegar.
We will let it come to a boil. We pour in milk, cream, and crack a whole egg into the pot. Finally, we will thicken it with plain flour as needed. We mix it thoroughly and let it cook.
We can season it with pepper, salt, sugar, or add a little more vinegar. That depends on your taste buds. At the end, we toss in a few pieces of dill for aroma, and we can serve it. I will choose potatoes and a hard-boiled egg as a side dish. You can add a slice of good beef to it. And as a side dish, dumplings. It’s up to you.
I wish you a good appetite!
