Wiener schnitzel
Preparation time: 20 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Servings: 4

Tender veal that has been gently pounded and coated in a crispy breadcrumb crust, golden fried to perfection. We are talking about a magnificent Wiener schnitzel, which belongs to…

Ingredients (what you need)

600 g veal cutlet, chopped
4 small and thin slices of butter
4 slices of lemon
flour
milk
2 eggs
fine breadcrumbs
oil

Recipe steps

Tenderize the meat, ideally under plastic wrap, and cut around the edges to prevent it from deforming during frying.

Season with salt, coat in flour, then dip in your salted eggs mixed with milk, and finally in breadcrumbs.

In a larger pot, heat more oil, add the meat, cover with a lid, and reduce the heat to medium.

Slowly fry on both sides until golden red.

Remove and let excess fat drain on a paper towel.

When serving, place a thin slice of fresh butter and a slice of lemon on each schnitzel.

Serve with mashed potatoes, mayonnaise potato salad, fried potatoes, or steamed rice – depending on what everyone likes, and with some salad or compote. I was surprised that I couldn't find this traditional recipe here.
