Mushroom patties
For the fragrant mushroom patties, we will use either store-bought champignons or mushrooms we have gathered in the forest. First, we sauté the mushrooms, then we mix in the soaked bread roll, egg, and spices.
Ingredients (what you need)
300 g of champignons (or other mushrooms)
1 roll (or bread bun)
150 ml of milk
1/2 onion
oil
1 egg
1 clove of garlic
1 handful of parsley
a pinch of nutmeg
a pinch of marjoram
a pinch of ground caraway
salt
bread crumbs (as needed)
For coating
plain flour
egg
bread crumbs
Recipe steps
We soak the broken roll in milk. We finely chop the onion. We cut the mushrooms into pieces. We finely chop the parsley.
In a small amount of oil, we sauté the onion, then add the mushrooms. We salt them and simmer for a while, then take off the heat and let cool.
To the cooled mushroom mixture, we mix in the crushed roll, egg, pressed garlic, chopped parsley, spices, salt, and if necessary, thicken with breadcrumbs.
From the mixture, we form small patties, which we coat in triple batter.
We fry them in hot oil on both sides.
We serve them with potatoes and a vegetable salad or they can be served on their own.
