This homemade bread recipe is simply easy and simply plain. Really. It's a recipe with which you can start your journey as a home baker and you can hardly spoil anything. Homemade bread is worth a little effort. Just imagine the aroma wafting through the whole house, and the taste that proves that even bread can be juicy. And finally, the joy that comes from having made homemade bread. This homemade bread forgives experiments, so go for it. You can try different types of flours – spelt, wheat, bread, or rye flour. Ingredients (what you need)

2 cups all-purpose flour (or possibly rye, bread, spelt)
1.5 teaspoons dried yeast
1.5 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon crushed caraway seeds
1.5 cups lukewarm water, or possibly whey
other ingredients to taste

Recipe steps

First, mix all the ingredients in a blender. The dough will have a thinner consistency, which is fine.

Cover the dough in the bowl with a towel and let it rise for 4 hours. In the meantime, preheat the oven to 230 °C.

Place the bread in a sturdy pot, baking dish, or on a baking sheet; it doesn't matter much, just make sure to put it in the oven for a while to heat up.

Then, take the baking sheet or pot out of the oven; they should be really hot, and carefully place the dough inside and cover it. Bake for 30 minutes, then uncover the bread, brush it with water, and bake uncovered for another 15 minutes.

After baking, remove the homemade bread from the container, place it on a cooling rack, and let it rest so it doesn't steam. Once cooled, you can slice the homemade bread.
