400 g raw potatoes
400 g cooked potatoes
2 eggs
2 larger onions
coarse flour (as needed)
marjoram
salt
1 clove of garlic
cabbage
ground cumin
smoked meat
Recipe steps
Peel the potatoes, grate them, and then let them drain in a strainer.
Peel and grate the cooked potatoes, then mix them with the raw potatoes, add eggs, caraway seeds, crushed garlic, marjoram, and salt.
Add flour and knead into a dense mixture.
Form the dumplings using two spoons, which we wet beforehand to prevent the dough from sticking, and then boil them in salted water for about 12 minutes.
Meanwhile, peel the onion, chop it into small pieces, and lightly fry part of it in heated oil in a pot until it turns golden brown.
Stir in the cabbage, add caraway seeds and a little water, then cook for 30 minutes.
Fry the second half of the onion in a pan and serve with smoked meat on a plate.
