Fragile apple pie
An unexpected visitor has arrived, and you are contemplating what to prepare with coffee. Bake a quick and easy apple pie that will delight everyone.
Ingredients (what you need)
500 g plain flour
150 g granulated sugar
150 g butter (or Hery)
2 whole eggs
5 tablespoons milk
1 baking powder
1/2 vanilla sugar
lemon zest
1 kg apples
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
cinnamon
fat for greasing the baking tray
coarse flour for dusting the baking tray
Recipe steps
Grease the baking sheet with fat and sprinkle it with coarse flour.
Place the plain flour in a bowl and mix it with baking powder.
Add sugar, diced fat, eggs, milk, vanilla sugar, and lemon zest to the mixture. Knead all the ingredients thoroughly by hand and place the resulting dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to rest.
Peel the clean apples and grate them coarsely. Then mix them with sugar and cinnamon. Add more sugar if necessary.
Preheat the oven to 250 °C.
Divide the dough into two parts. Roll one part out thoroughly to the size of the baking sheet and carefully transfer it to the prepared baking sheet using a rolling pin. You can also roll the dough directly on the baking sheet. Stretch the edges of the dough outward.
Evenly distribute the prepared apples on the dough.
Roll out the second part of the dough to the size of the baking sheet and cover the apple filling with it. You can use the rolling pin again for this. Gently press the edges of the pie together to prevent juice from leaking during baking. Brush the surface of the pie with milk and pierce it with a fork to allow steam to escape during baking.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
After cooling, cut into nice slices.
