Ingredients (what you need)
1 pack of chicken thighs (backs, wings)
2 onions
2 tablespoons of butter
1/2 pack of sweet paprika powder
1 pinch of salt
500 ml chicken broth (or 1 chicken bouillon cube)
200 g cooking cream
2-3 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
Recipe steps
We prepare a base of onions and peppers. We finely chop the onion, sauté it in butter, and sprinkle it with paprika. We sauté it for a little longer.
We add pieces of chicken and pour in either chicken broth or water. If we use water, we add a bouillon cube. We only salt it if necessary. Once the meat is tender, we take it out and let it cool for a moment.
We prepare a roux by mixing flour with cream, and then we thicken the sauce. We cook it over low heat for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. If needed, we can adjust the thickness of the sauce by adding broth or water.
Meanwhile, we separate the meat from the bones and stir it into the finished sauce. We can season it with salt and liquid seasoning.
It is usually served with elbow macaroni, but dumplings can also be offered as a side dish.
