Baked crispy potatoes with cheese
Baked potatoes wonderfully complement meat dishes, but they also taste great on their own. You can enjoy them with tartar sauce or some homemade dip.
Ingredients (what you need)
5 medium potatoes
1 egg
2 tablespoons of milk
1 teaspoon of mustard
1 crushed garlic clove
ground pepper
1 pinch of salt
oil
For coating
breadcrumbs
grated Edam cheese (same amount as breadcrumbs)
1 teaspoon of sweet paprika
thyme
rosemary
Recipe steps
Peel the raw potatoes and cut them into half-centimeter thick slices. Thoroughly mix the eggs with the milk, then add the mustard, garlic, and seasoning (pepper and salt). Combine the breadcrumbs with the cheese, paprika, and herbs.
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Dip the potato slices in the egg mixture and then coat them in the breadcrumbs. Place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper that has been brushed with oil.
Place the potatoes wrapped in aluminum foil next to each other and drizzle them lightly with oil. Bake them covered with foil for 10 minutes, then uncover and bake for another 20-25 minutes until crispy.
