With a bread maker, you can easily prepare yeast dough. Take advantage of this option and bake delicious pies with apple filling and a scent of cinnamon.

Ingredients (what you need)

Dough
500 g all-purpose flour
100 g butter (or similar margarine)
1 egg
1 yolk
100 g granulated sugar
1 pinch of salt
21 g fresh yeast
200 ml milk
Topping
100 g granulated sugar
100 g coarse flour
1 slice of butter (or similar margarine)
Filling
1.5 kg apples (or less)
100-150 g sugar
1 pinch of cinnamon (or cinnamon sugar)
Additionally
1 egg for brushing

Recipe steps

In the bread maker, we add the ingredients in order - first the liquids and then the dry ingredients - and start the program to prepare the dough. Alternatively, the dough can also be prepared by hand.

We wash, peel, and grate the apples on a coarse grater. Then we put them in a pot and steam them for about 10 minutes with sugar and cinnamon. We let them cool down.

We line the baking tray with baking paper. We preheat the oven to 180 °C.

After the dough has risen, we need to roll it into a log and cut it into pieces according to the desired size of the pastries, or prepare a certain number of pastries based on the weight of the dough. From each piece, we shape a ball and place it on the tray. Then we flatten each ball with a glass to create an indentation inside, which we fill with the prepared apples.

We brush the pastries with a beaten egg and sprinkle them with crumble made from butter, sugar, and coarse flour.

We bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, making sure they have the right pink color.
