Zucchini Cottage Cheese Dumplings

These light dumplings can be made for lunch or as a smaller dessert. You can flavor them to your liking, but they taste great with honey and toasted...
Ingredients (what you need)
250 g peeled grated zucchini
125 g soft cottage cheese
50 g softened butter
1 egg
150 g coarse flour
50 g powdered sugar
salt (for seasoning the water while cooking)
For serving
butter for drizzling
liquid honey
chopped walnuts
Recipe steps
Peel the zucchini, grate it finely, and squeeze it a little, keeping the juice. Mix the cottage cheese and egg with the zucchini. Cream the softened butter with sugar and add it to the zucchini as well. Finally, thicken the mixture with flour.
If necessary, gradually add the squeezed juice from the zucchini. Form the dough into small balls the size of ping-pong balls. Drop them into boiling salted water and once they float to the surface, cook them for about 3 more minutes.
First, place one dumpling as a test, and if it doesn't fall apart, you can continue. If needed, add a little flour.
On plates, drizzle these light dumplings with butter, honey, and sprinkle with chopped nuts, which can be lightly toasted beforehand.
