Spicy pickled sausages

Recipe for "utopenec", which we all know well and love.
Ingredients (what you need)
15 pcs sausage (lean)
1.5 kg onion
1 package sauerkraut
15 pcs pickled chili pepper
1 jar stewed pepper
brine
1 package deco
1 teaspoon vegetable seasoning
0.5 l vinegar
3 tablespoons sugar
2 pcs bay leaf
7 berries allspice
10 berries whole black pepper
1.5 l water
Recipe steps
First, we prepare the marinade. We boil water with vinegar, spices, and sugar for 5 minutes over low heat. We let the marinade cool down. We need a five-liter jar, which we wash.
Meanwhile, we peel the onion and cut it into thin rings. We peel the sausages and make a lengthwise slit in them, which we fill with the onion rings. At the bottom of the jar, we place some onion and a bit of sauerkraut. On top of that, we place 3 filled sausages. We add another layer of onion, sauerkraut, and then we add bell peppers and chili peppers. We repeat it, adding a layer of sausages, onion, sauerkraut, bell peppers, and chili peppers. We continue until we run out of sausages. The last layer is onion with sauerkraut.
We strain the marinade and pour it over the prepared jar. We let the contents of the jar settle, and then we pour in more marinade so that everything is submerged.
The "utopenci" need to marinate for at least a week.
