Ingredients (what you need)
2 turnip bulbs
700 g carrots
1 cup of whipping cream
3 tablespoons of milk
salt
white pepper
a pinch of cumin
nutmeg
2 cm of butter
a bunch of fresh thyme
Recipe steps
Wash the vegetables and cut them into thin pieces, lightly salt them, and if desired, add caraway seeds, then place them in a baking dish.
Season the milk and cream with salt, pepper, and add about half a teaspoon of grated nutmeg or its flower.
Pour the mixture over the vegetables, sprinkle with pieces of butter, and bake uncovered for about half an hour at a temperature of around 170 degrees.
Finally, sprinkle with removed thyme, gently press it into the cream with a spoon, and carefully mix – rather pour the cream over with a spoon and continue baking.
