2 front pork knuckles
2 onions
8 cloves of garlic
1 jar (680 g) of sauerkraut

Recipe steps
We make several lengthwise cuts in the knees down to the bone, generously salt them, and rub crushed and chopped garlic into them.
We place diced onion in the baking dish, season it well with cumin, sprinkle with the second onion, pour in a cup of water, cover, and place it in an oven preheated to 200°C.
We roast for 90 minutes, basting a little, then 30 minutes uncovered. After that, we remove the knees, place drained sauerkraut at the bottom, turn the knees bottom side up, and roast for another 30 minutes.
