1 jar (680 g) of sauerkraut

Recipe steps
We make several longitudinal cuts into the knees down to the bone, salt them thoroughly, and rub them with crushed and chopped garlic.
In a baking dish, we place the chopped onion, sprinkle it well with caraway seeds, add another onion on top, pour in a cup of water, and cover it before placing it in a preheated oven at 200°C.
We bake for 90 minutes, occasionally adding more water, then uncover for 30 minutes. After that, we remove the knees, place drained cabbage on the bottom, turn the knees over, and bake for another 30 minutes.
