Ingredients (what you need)
4 firm pears
0.5 dl apple cider
0.5 dl white wine
3 teaspoons honey
a piece of whole cinnamon
1 star anise
about 8 cloves
2-3 tablespoons rum
1/2 l milk
1 bag chocolate pudding
2 tablespoons sugar
whipped cream
Recipe steps
We cut the pears in half lengthwise, remove the core, and peel them. In a larger pot, we pour in the juice and wine, add honey and spices, and bring everything to a boil.
Into the boiling liquid, we place the halves of the pears and simmer them covered until they reach the desired softness. During cooking, we turn the pears once (I cooked them for about 4 minutes). Once they are done, we let them cool down. We keep the remaining broth that is left after the pears.
Cook the pudding from milk, pudding powder, and sugar. Place the pears on plates and pour the finished pudding over them. Allow the dessert to cool thoroughly.
Before serving, we remove the spices from the remaining pear broth, add a teaspoon of sugar and 2-3 tablespoons of rum. Then we bring it back to a boil and reduce the liquid by cooking it until it has the consistency of honey.
On the dessert, we place whipped cream and drizzle the entire treat with the prepared rum syrup.
