4 eggs
2 tablespoons of orange zest
50 g icing sugar
80 g semolina
125 ml freshly squeezed orange juice
100 g plain flour
For the syrup
125 ml orange juice
70 g icing sugar
Recipe steps
We whisk four egg yolks with two tablespoons of grated orange zest and 50 grams of powdered sugar until a thick foam forms. Then we add semolina and 125 ml of orange juice. We let the mixture stand for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, we whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Then we fold them into the yolk foam, add the flour, and gently combine. We bake in a smaller form for 25 minutes at 180 degrees.
Meanwhile, we pour 125 ml of orange juice into a pot, add 70 g of sugar, and boil until the mixture thickens.
We let the baked dessert cool in the form for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a plate and cover it with the thickened syrup.
