Ingredients (what you need)
oil
1 tablespoon of sugar
1 onion
1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour
230 g of tomato paste
bay leaf
allspice
clove
salt
broth (or water)
Dripping
1 egg

salt
Recipe steps
In a pan, heat the oil, add a tablespoon of sugar, and slowly let it caramelize.
Peel the onion, chop it into small pieces, add it to the caramel, and fry briefly.
Sprinkle with flour, sauté for a moment, stir in the tomato paste, and pour in water or broth. Add spices and cook for at least 20 minutes.
Prepare the dough from all-purpose flour, eggs, salt, and a little pepper. Mix everything thoroughly and then pour the dough into the boiling soup using a strainer or a spaetzle maker.
Cook the soup for approximately 3 minutes, adjust the salt to taste, and then serve.
