The preparation of a savory onion pie is simple, and the result is truly excellent. The strong flavor of the onions is lightened by the cream, and the pie also has a beautiful aroma.

Ingredients (what you need)

Dough
300 g all-purpose flour
150 ml water
1/2 teaspoon dried yeast
30 g oil
salt

Filling
200 ml sour cream
200 g (full-fat) cottage cheese
500 g onions
250 g bacon
6 cloves of garlic
ground pepper
salt
thyme
basil
oregano

Recipe steps

In a bowl, we put flour, to which we add salt and yeast. Gradually pour in the water and oil and knead the dough. We let it rest for a while.

Preheat the oven to the maximum in advance. Line a baking or cake pan with baking paper.

Meanwhile, cut the bacon into smaller pieces and fry it. Peel the onion and chop it into small pieces. Add it to the bacon and sauté for a short time.

In a bowl, combine the cream with the cottage cheese, add salt, pepper, garlic, oregano, and basil.

Roll out the dough and put it in the prepared pan.

Spread the cottage cheese mixture on the dough and top it with the onion and bacon. Lightly sprinkle with thyme.

We baked it at the maximum oven temperature for approximately 7 minutes.
