Excellent meatloaf

We soak stale rolls in milk. We finely chop the peeled onion and sauté it in a pan with fat.

Ingredients (what you need)

500 g ground pork belly
500 g ground beef
3 tablespoons marjoram
2 pcs eggs
2 pcs bread rolls or buns
1 pcs large onion
2 dl milk
3 teaspoons salt
2 handfuls breadcrumbs
3 cloves garlic
for brushing 1 pcs egg white
as needed 200 ml water for steaming
butter or oil for greasing

Recipe steps

In a bowl, mix both types of meat, marjoram, egg, crushed garlic, fried onion, and salt. Finally, add the squeezed rolls. Mix everything by hand and gradually add breadcrumbs as needed.

From the mixture, form a loaf and place it in a greased baking dish. Add water, brush with egg whites, and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C. Bake for about 1 hour and 20 minutes until the meat turns brown. Occasionally baste with the drippings and add water as needed.

Serve the meatloaf sliced and best with mashed potatoes.
