Black Elderflower Lemonade has been refreshing generations for many years, as elderflower can be found on the edge of every meadow. Even if you wouldn't recognize it at first sight, its intoxicating fragrance will certainly capture your attention. Elderflower lemonade is a great refresher on hot summer days, while in winter, you can dry the elderflowers and make tea from them to help alleviate annoying mucus. Many people consider elderflower a weed, but it holds many surprises. One of them will definitely be elderflower lemonade – a fragrant and lightly sparkling summer refreshment. The time for gathering elderflowers is in May and June, and you should only collect dry blooms, as moist ones, such as those picked in the morning, would brown during drying and lose their quality. They must be dried immediately, and for example, in an airtight container, they can last until the next season. You can find the recipe for elderflower or black elderflower lemonade right here.
